Another really good week by all. Great to see the progress you are making. This week I want you to focus on Tuesdays session recover and then go again on Saturday over 5k at a parkrun or a race elsewhere.  If you are intending to do a parkrun you will need to make absolutely sure you get in the right frame of mind. Without over thinking it make sure you get warmed up properly and hit the race feeling confident. I am looking for good times.  Heres the generic schedule and a split sheet for future sessions. Get to know your splits.

Week starting 6th June

Excellent weeks training. With a brilliant test on the long run today. Awesome to watch Dan and Beth from this group blow the cobwebs off over 3k today at the Midland Track league. which they haven’t trained for but did brilliantly. Now is the time for some shorter track work and cut back some of the miles for emphasis on speed. So don’t be daft on the longer stuff! And don’t add in any silly extra stuff. If you do you’ll really suffer on the sessions! See you on the track Tuesday    Monday easy 40-60mins Tuesday Aldersley track. 8 x 1k different paces. Off 90 secs. More details on the night.  Wednesday easy 60-70 mins (just relaxed) strides  Thursday 45 easy Friday day off or easy 25 Saturday track 15 x 200m off 1 min recovery faster than 5k pace. Working on technique and speed. Followed by 2 mile tempo down the canal weather permitting  Sunday long run easy relaxed
