2023 Welcome! Training for the next couple of week

We kick start 2023 with two major cross country races. So training on Tuesdays will be lighter and shorter to enable you to get some speed back into your legs. It is still cold and dark etc but it would be really beneficial if we could all get back into one group now and start working together again. So please make every effort to get to sessions.

Those now on Marathon training will now have to add in extra bits on our generic nights so make sure you read the schedules thoroughly. You will also be tired and sluggish at times. You'll be racing tired too so keep your chins up. You entered the marathons lol!!!! Same for those aiming to run a good half in the spring.

All that remains now of 2022 is Saturday 31st Dec: Double parkrun. First one I want fast. Run it confidently and with determination. You will not be in PB shape so don't be an idiot and chase one or be down when you can't run it. 5 mins recovery jog include a couple of strides. Then go again but try and keep your 2nd one within a minute to 90 seconds of your first one. DON'T START CHATTING AND GETTING DISTRACTED with the parkruners just get your heads down and train properly.

See you all on Tuesday the 3rd at our home - Aldersley Stadium for the first track session of the year.
